This workshop will allow you to learn and experiment with many painted and decorative techniques suitable for embellishing woodturning.

These techniques can include:

Painted finishes

• Sponging
• Stippling
• Scrunching
• Crackling
• Distressing

Simple ways to add patterns

• Stencilling
• Block Printing
• How to add your own designs

Adding surface textures

• Texture paste
• Burning

Adding glitz

• Metal foiling
• Gold waxing

Students will complete a series of sample boards of techniques that can be taken home and used as a reference for future projects.
