This is a very popular 2 day workshop. Students take home a completed picture ready for framing (or can make it into a small wall quilt). It also works well as a modified 1 day workshops for schools.

Students learn a wide range of techniques including;

• Overlay work
• 3D appliqué’
• Free motion embroidery
• Experimentation with water soluble fabrics

Students will put together and embellish a small wall quilt. The quilt will be constructed of 9 small individual geometric designs using appliqué’ techniques and a combination of rich luxurious fabrics of varying textures, lustre’s and transparencies. Each panel will be embellished using free motion embroidery, basic hand stitching (if desired) and beading. Finished size 52cm x 44cm.
